Linda Tharp is an abstract painter working in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  Originally from coastal Connecticut with significant time spent in Maine, the landscape of coastal estuaries and bays was an early influence.  After graduating the Cooper Union in 1982 Tharp embarked on a decade of living and travel in Europe, residing and painting in Amsterdam. Tharp currently divides her time between her Brooklyn studio and the fishing village of Five Islands, Maine.
